Benjamin Romski, Esq.

Ben is a co-founder of Red Door Capital. He graduated the University of South Carolina, Cum Laude, with degrees in finance and risk & insurance management. After graduating, he went on to attend the University of South Carolina’s School of Law, completing his Juris Doctorate in addition to his Masters of Business Administration at the Darla Moore School of Business. During his academic career, Ben was recognized as a Darla Moore Emerging Leader and was named the “Most Outstanding Student in Finance” in his MBA program. Ben leverages both his legal and business skill sets to provide unique insights when analyzing deals.

Through experiences at Jones Lang LaSalle and Ernst & Young, Ben has built a sturdy foundation around valuing commercial real estate assets. Thus far, he has assisted in the valuation of over a billion dollars of commercial real estate across a variety of asset types including multifamily, office, retail, warehouse, manufacturing, flex/R&D space, cold storage facilities, hospitals and raw land. This experience has allowed him to gain an understanding of what drives value across a variety of asset types in addition to a broad knowledge of markets across the country. Currently, Ben works for UnionMain Homes where he is in charge of acquiring land in the Dallas - Fort Worth marketplace. Moreover, Ben has over five years of independent residential property management experience including tenant sourcing, background screening, rent collection, tenant move in/move out, budgeting and project management.

Ben values honesty, integrity and fortitude, turning to these guiding principles whenever making decisions in his personal or professional life. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing golf and rooting on the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Timothy Coakley

Tim is a co-founder of Red Door Capital. After graduating from University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with degrees in business management and international business, Tim went on to have a successful career in software technology sales. While working in the field of supply chain logistics, he won accolades for top performer while working with large enterprise clients such as Clorox, Ping, and K-Swiss. After transitioning to the world of Insurtech, Tim has continued his success winning awards for top performing representative in the partner sales arena.

As local native from Oconomowoc, Tim has witnessed first hand the revitalization of Milwaukee over the past decade and is driven to not only participate, but make his mark on the city. His personal goals are to help address the massive affordable housing shortage in the city and improve the quality of life in many of the historically depressed neighborhoods. He might be biased, but Milwaukee has been a highly overlooked market with incredible potential, which he plans to help bring to center stage.

Tim now resides in Charleston, SC, but remains an avid Bucks and Brewers fan. His work takes him all over the country, but returns to the Milwaukee area to visit with friends and family every chance he gets.
